Toddle Talk with Sarah
My name is Sarah and I am your Toddle Talk baby signing instructor in the Stamford area!
I am Mum to two lovely, fun and energetic boys, Alfie (5) and Jesse (3). My professional background is in primary and music teaching and I am excited to now be an accredited Toddle Talk teacher and hold the British Sign Language Level 101 certificate. From September 2019 I will be studying to complete the remainder of my BSL Level 1
I started using fun and useful signs with my youngest, Jesse, when he was 8 months old and his first signs came only a few months later. Now at 3 he is a real chatterbox and I'm sure signing has been a big factor in this. I found signing to be so helpful in understanding what he was trying to communicate, whether that was asking for milk, requesting a book to be read ‘again’, pointing out animals or learning his colours! He still uses some signs now and is interested to know how to sign new words he can say.
My classes are fun, friendly and relaxing, giving you time to bond with your little one(s), followed by time to enjoy an all important drink and biscuit and have the chance to meet and chat with other local parents and tots.
